Beat The Heat With These Cool Tea Recipes

John Grams about tea black tea green tea Mana Organics

It’s hot. Everywhere.

But still we want tea.

Times like these try a tea lover’s soul. Yes, of course one could grab a ready to drink ice tea out of the glass fridge in the grocery store, but they never deliver that sweet, rich Assam taste. You can try to brew a tea hot, then chill it down in the fridge, but inevitably you get a drink that tastes stale.

There are better ways to beat the heat with tea. These easy recipes take a bit of planning, but remove the risk badly brewed ice tea.

Mana Organics Cold Brew

Pouring cold brew Mana Organics Tea

One can cold brew tea similar to how one cold brews coffee. Actually, it is easier than cold brewing coffee. Cold brewing brings out the sweetness of the tea, and the caffine, without the bittering tanins.

1 tbsp Mana Organics Assam Black Tea
1 liter room temperature Distilled/Mineral Water
Add tea and water in a covered pitcher, or bottle. Allow tea to sit for at least one hour. Strain leaves and chill. Serve poured over ice.

Your cold brew tea will stay fresh for 3-4 days. Increase the brew time for a stronger tea flavor. You can also use this recipe with green tea or our golden tips tea.

Alternative, you can eschew beverages, and get your tea fix in solid form. Ice solid form.

Instead of simply freezing tea, we suggest pairing with fruit juice to create excellent Popsicle. For example, this great Green Tea Grapefruit Creamsicle from Brittany Loyer.

Juice from 2 ruby red grapefruit
1 cup brewed Mana Organics Super Twist Green Tea
3 tbsp sweetened condensed milk
Strain fresh grapefruit juice (no seeds or pulp) Combine all ingredients in a bowl and ladle into Popsicle molds. Place in the freezer overnight.
